Broken Arrows (base)
Base broken-arrows strike off the first touch: M1 takes it up, M2 plays acting-half, M1 and L2 run crossing decoy arrows, L1 hits the gap and feeds the right wing into the overlap.
Coach notesBroken Arrows (base) Shape: standard attack, ball with M1 in the middle.
Broken Arrows (base)
Shape: standard attack, ball with M1 in the middle.
Touch 1
M1 takes it up straight and hard through the middle, gets touched on the gain line. M2 sweeps behind to take acting-half off the rollball.
Touch 2
M2 plays acting-half and steps to engage the line, then passes back to L1. The broken arrows: M1 loops around on a decoy line and L2 runs a crossing decoy inward — the two crossing runs hold D2/D4 and open the inside channel for L1 to hit at pace.
Touch 3
L1 carries through the gap and draws the last defender (D4/D6), then throws the wide pass. The right wing (RW) arrives on the overlap out wide and runs onto the ball into space to finish.
Key: M1 = the decoy loop on Touch 2; RW = arrives wide and unmarked on Touch 3.
